Annual Pledge Drive runs through September 30th
The Mariners Elementary School Foundation has kicked off the fall season with its annual pledge drive. Our school has been hit hard by budget cuts at both the state and district levels. The Foundation Pledge Drive supplements many critical programs that enhance our children’s’ education. Some of the programs we fund are:
* Science Program—Discovering Science * Technology * Teachers’ Aides * Accelerated Reading and Math programs * Music Program (Band and Choir) * Extended Day Kindergarten *
Last year, due to your support, we were able to fund a new sound system for the Penne Ferrell Theater, and recently purchased 40 Netbook laptops to be used by the fifth and sixth grade classes starting this school year. Every child in our school benefits from the Foundation’s Pledge Drive efforts. This year, our goal is 100% participation! Every contribution is greatly appreciated. No amount is too small. Give what you can. Please encourage your friends and family to join in also! Please show your school spirit and get your Pledge in early.
There are four easy ways to make your Pledge:

• Drop off at the school front office.
• Copy this letter and pass it on to friends and family.

$1–249…………….Mariners Friend
$250–499………….Mariners Spirit
$500–999 …………Mariners Pride
$1,000–2,499……..Mariners Silver Honor
$2,500–4,999……..Mariners Golden Honor
$5,000–10,000*…. Mariners Platinum Honor
*The Mariners Platinum donation level is an opportunity for families to make one contribution that will apply to all foundation events. You will be recognized, if you so choose, among the highest level underwriters for each event in the upcoming school year; (The Annual Pledge Drive, The Fall Fundraiser, The Spring Art Walk and The Mariners Park Independence Day Celebration). In addition to underwriter recognition, you will have a ½ page space in the upcoming Mariners Directory (Company Ad or Family Message). You will receive 4 tickets to the Fall Fundraiser, 4 tickets to the Spring Art Walk, 4 wristbands and 4 opportunity tickets for the 2012 Fourth of July celebration.
